Bill Gates is closer to you in net worth than he is to Elon Musk. Let that sink in. If you ever feel like something is out of reach, you might be closer than you realize. The same thing goes for your health. You might feel exhausted, burnt out, ready to throw in the towel, etc... but here's your reminder to not quit. It's just tiny little good behaviors, compounded over time… Move more, Eat cleaner, be happy, get checked. There is no magic pill, lottery, luck, or jackpot to make you well... It's simply good decisions x time. But the body has limitations to matter. Which means...
The longer you wait... The more excuses you make... The more you live in your comfort zone... The more you keep telling yourself, "I still have time"... One day you won't be able to get well and stay well. So.. Start. Restart. Commit. Recommit. To yourself. You're closer to your goal than you realize. The phrase "Regulators, Mount Up" was a term used by Warren G as a call to action against the gangs, drugs, and violence that ran the streets... That corruption has bleed from the streets into the government, big pHARMa, and lobby donors... their indoctrination of the people has led most of the population into sickness, dis-ease, a loss of common sense, and dependency... What if we collectively became regulators of our own health. Took responsibility of our own choices, stopped playing victim and MOUNTED UP!?! Imagine if you did it all… How would your body feel, perform, function, and respond to life's stressors? The Foundation of Health is your Nervous System. Everything else builds upon the foundation. These subluxations result from acute trauma like falls, sports injuries, or accidents. In chiropractic, we use the term vertebral subluxation or vertebral subluxation complex to describe something different: a pattern of neurological dysfunction in the spine affecting alignment, joint motion, and nervous system communication. This type of subluxation may not show dramatic structural changes on X-ray because we’re measuring functional problems—how the nervous system communicates—rather than just bone displacement.
When subluxation occurs, it can interfere with the proper functioning of the nervous system, which is responsible for controlling and coordinating all the systems in the body. Nervous system dysregulation and dysfunction are easily the most overlooked and dismissed components of both acute and chronic health challenges in kids and adults alike. The key component of subluxation that sets all the neurological dysfunction in motion is the joint fixation and restriction of movement, which is known as proprioception. Proprioception is the body’s sense of position and movement. It relies on sensory receptors in the joints, muscles, and connective tissues to communicate with the brain. Subluxations can disrupt this communication, leading to decreased proprioception and increased perception of noxious or stressful stimuli and input into the brain (nociception). While a medical subluxation involves visible structural displacement of joint surfaces, neurological subluxation focuses on the functional impact—how altered joint mechanics disrupt nerve signaling between the body and brain. This is why traditional X-rays will not show what we’re measuring: we’re assessing function, not just structure. While this may present as true physical pain and discomfort in an adult, in kids, it more commonly presents as altered sensory input or sensory overload, digestive or immune system dysfunction, and especially as altered sensory perception and motor input, tone, and coordination. Subluxation plays a major role in the development of both gross and fine motor delays, as well as overall developmental delays and challenges in children. The upper neck and brainstem region are particularly vulnerable to subluxation because they house a high concentration of proprioceptors and contain critical spinal nerve roots that are responsible for controlling many vital functions in the body, such as:
Subluxation of the spine or brainstem can disrupt the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, leading to a wide range of signs and health challenges. This imbalance, known as dysautonomia, is a critical factor in many of the chronic health conditions we see in children today. While some appreciate the demand of courage, sacrifice, and relentless commitment… others do nothing but throw arrows, bricks, and hate at our mission.
One thing I have learned early on but still struggle with is: success and health do not come with comfort and applause. It comes with commitment, discipline, and the willingness to fight in the dark when no one else is watching. Today is not about taking a day off. It's about another day on. Working on purpose. Working on more responsibility. Working on doing something that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Honor MLK jr today by taking action on your health. January 14th is known as National Quitter Day because 43% of people who set goals for a ‘New Year New You’ will have already quit… with 80-90% goal setters quitting before the end of January. Many people believe that the masses drop off because they set goals that are too unrealistic, they don't have a good system or a schedule, or because they lack desire. While all those things are essential to follow through and hammer your goals for the new year, the reality is most people don't fail because a lack of desire, systems, schedule, or too high of hopes… They fail because they negotiate with themselves when pressure shows up… They say things like: “I'll do it tomorrow." “I'll get back on track next week.” “I'll get after it when football season is over.” “It's just too hectic right now.” “I just need things to calm down.” “I need a vacation right now.” This is not a motivation, schedule, systems, lack of desire, or too high of hopes problem. This is a discipline issue. When push comes to shove, your mind can do it, but your unconditioned body negotiates with your mind… and… you give in and retreat back to your comfort zone for yet another year of mediocrity. Are you sick and tired of your body having more control over your mind 🧠 than you do? Then stop negotiating with it. Will it to do what you want. When you do this, over time, you will increase your capacity to do more, create more resilience, and build massive confidence to tackle your goals this year. 2026 should be your year to:
