Ask questions: Rather than judge their unwillingness to try chiropractic, become curious. Since our beliefs dictate our behavior, try to find out what belief(s) stand in their way. Often it is some fear of a terrible past experience or the thought of "if I try chiropractic, I'll have to come for the rest of my life". The truth is and you know, that we have never been and never will be high pressure. Instead, we try to create a friendly, family-centered environment that teaches individuals how their body truly heals. Supply information: One of the best ways to diffuse irrational fears is to supply information (which we are more than happy to provide) or have them come in during your next visit to meet Dr. Chad and the staff. Give it time: Change takes time. Whether it's making new healthy habits, changing someone's belief system or changing someone's spine. Be patient. Trust that your friend or family member will choose chiropractic when the time is right. The reason we have a nervous system is to perceive our environment and coordinate the behavior of every cell in our body. It is an epigenome thing, not a gene thing!
